Relating to God - Relating to You In regard to God we are always wrong, this thought spots doubt and appeases its sorrow, this thought gives courage to and enthusiasm for action. Doubt is the destroyer of joy. The task of doubt is to frighten and startle us - to make us tremble and burst and fear and scream aloud everywhere. Suffering or sorrow is a necessary condition for edification. It effects the required adequate fright - otherwise edification is mere illusion. In regard to love, there is Spirit and Flesh. Mingling the two opens infinite possibilities for dramatic stories to be shared. Have you any to share? Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about." -Genesis 22:2 - posted by -g @ 4:55 PM | | 0 rocks in pond 0 Comments: |
