As I look at this image, I realize that it is not what it seems. It is a digitized reflection of a painting of a sitll life. I learned about denotatation and conotation earlier this year. What we say is not always what we mean, and it is almost never what is heard. And then, like a Cezanne painting, a trigger is found and a connection is made to the eternal. Who can say through what or whom it will come or why or how long it will last, but when it does comes, it will certainly be an "oh wow". We need each other, you and I. We need a buddy to watch our path with and for us. We need to carry our own load, but we also need to carry each others load. Loving is easy when nothing is at stake. When children and hearts and souls are at stake, it is more difficult, there is no quitting - there is no running away. We need each other to pray with and for and because of our condition. We need each other for the encouragement we are not getting from the world - from ourselves even. Listen. Look at the image and listen. What do you hear? What does the painting tell you? Willingness to listen to a digital reflection of an oil painting is quite a compliment to this freindship, wouldn't you say? That's the way it works. Spirit equips us and we equip each other. God strengthens us and we stregthen each other. Father loves and encourages us, and we do the same to each other. What are you getting because I am not? What am I getting so much of that it is overflowing into you? Be careful what you eat, it will certainly flow out of you at one point or another. I am looking forward to another meal with you. It will never be identical to the last one, but I have no doubt it will be just as fulfilling and just as life-changing. In Love, - posted by -g @ 8:50 PM | | 0 rocks in pond 0 Comments: |
